Gamchen Volcano

Gamchen belongs to Kizimen-Gamchen volcanic group made up of 5 volcanoes, in the eastern volcanic range. It is located on the territory of Kronotsky National Biosphere Reserve included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. It is a complex volcano made up of 4 stratovolcanoes: South Gamchen (or main), North Gamchen, the Young and Baranny (the mutton). The last eruption of this active 2,576 meters high volcano is unknown.
