Kronotsky is the southern volcano of Kizimen-Gamchen volcanic group made up of 5 volcanoes, in the eastern volcanic range.
At its base stretches the beautiful lake of the same name. Kronotsky has a perfect cone-shape and rises all the way to 3,528m. It is a stratovolcano whose last eruption dates back to 1922-1923. It is located on the territory of Kronotsky National Biosphere Reserve.
