Dvukhyurtoshnoye Lake

Dvukhyurtoshnoye Lake, with an area of 12 sq-km, has a 20km long coast. Its stretches on 6.3km for a maximum width of 2km.At its deepest the lake reaches 266 meters. The lake is crossed from west to east, by Dvukhyurtochnaya River. It is the largest glacial lake in Kamchatka. It is also well-known for its importance in spawning time for Sockeye salmons. A very special kind of fish swims in it: the Oncorhynchus nerka kennerlyi Suckley.
