Sunduk Mountain

Sunduk Mountain is located in the Valley of Bannaya River, near Bolshiye-Banniye hot springs. Not far also stands Tolsty Mys (large cape) Mountain. Sunduk means “chest”. This name comes from the shape of the mountain that does make it look like a chest. Its flat summit, reaching a height of 1,064 meters and its steep slopes gave it that box-shape. Sunduk Mountain is part of an extrusive domes range belonging to Karymshina caldera.
