Asacha Volcano

Asacha volcano doesn’t belong to any volcano group or volcanic range. It is located in the south of the Peninsula, 90km to the south of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. This volcano is located on a circular volcanic massif that covers an area of 300 square kilometers with three other volcanoes, including Zhyolty volcano (885m). Asacha, a complex volcano, occupies by itself 45 square kilometers and reaches a height of 1,809 meters. It is made of a large damaged crater. The date of the last eruption of this extinct volcano is unknown. At the foot of Asacha volcano, on both banks of Asacha River, are located the Asachinskiye thermal springs.
