Verkhne-Paratunskiye Thermal Springs

Verkhne-Paratunskiye thermal springs are located in Paratunka River’s valley, on the northeastern side of Goryachaya Mountain. Made up of more than 16 springs, it is located 70 meters high on the mountain. The water’s temperature varies from 39 to 70°c. The rate of flow is 70L/s. The rate of mineralization is 1.32g/L. It is easy to locate them thanks to the steam that comes out of them and to the surrounding vegetation. They also form three streams. The springs are very popular and pools have been built in the narrow bed of the streams. 70 meters from their mouth flows a hot watershed.
