Maria Yermolova House-Museum

This museum is located in a town house built in 1773 where famous tragic actress Maria Yermolova (1853-1928) lived for forty years of her life. In 1970 the house-museum was created gathering personal effects that belonged to the actress. Visiting the house-museum allows visitors to get acquainted with Moscow’s theatrical universe from the late 19th century and to get an insight into Maria Yermolova’s life. Concerts, recitals, shows and theatrical meetings are now organized in the white living-room:
