Central Museum of the Armed Forces

This museum, created in 1919, attracts each year close to a million visitors. The museum’s collections, containing no less than eight hundred thousand items, are set up in twenty-four halls. They retrace the entire history of Soviet and Russian armed forces, army and navy, from the 18th century to the present. Besides an outdoor exhibition allows visitors to admire two hundred pieces of armament including armored vehicles such as the T34 tank, the Katyucha rocket launcher as well as fighters.
