Tolstoy Apartment-Museum

This museum was created in the apartment where Russian writer Alexis Tolstoy (1883-1945) lived from 1941 until his death. Author of many historic novels (among others) he wrote "Peter the Great" in this apartment. The interior remains the way it was when Tolstoy lived there. The visit allows visitors to get acquainted with the writer’s life. The museum’s collection contains personal effects, his library made of rare books, old furniture as well as many work of arts and paintings.
