Moscow’s National Museum of Defense

This museum founded in 1979 is entirely dedicated to the « Battle of Moscow ». Just like the one in Stalingrad, this battle (October 1941- January 1942) is considered as one of the major events on the eastern front of World War II. The exhibition is made of more than four thousand original items retracing the Soviet counteroffensive, which led to the defeat of German troops and the saving of Moscow.
