"Lights of Moscow" Museum

This peculiar museum opened in December 1980 to commemorate the two hundred and fifty years anniversary of Moscow’s exterior lighting. Its collections are made of torches, oil lamps, old electric lamps and contemporary ones, others working on kerosene, etc. The museum also offers various exhibitions: “the emergence of street lighting in cities”, “street lighting in Russia”, “first sources of artificial lighting”…
