Museum “Russian Valenki”

This museum is dedicated to the legendary Russian felt boots: the valenki. Valenki are inseparable from Russian history. An integral part of the National costume, they have, with their comfort, robustness and warmth, been a part of the everyday life of millions of Russians. The museum does not only present the valenki through the ages, but also exhibits young designers’ models. Classes are organized for children as well as for adults where you can learn how to decorate the renowned boots.
