“Samotsvety” Museum

This is a mineralogical museum. Although the Russian word “samotsvety” means “precious stone”, the museum is not only centered on those. Its extensive collection of twelve thousand five hundred samples allows visitors to admire rocks, minerals, fossils and meteorites. The natural or sometimes cut stones come from more than four hundred deposits around the world.
