Gorky House-Museum
This museum, located in patron Vladimir Rubunchinsky's (1873-1955)town house, is dedicated to Maxim Gorky (1868-1936). This Russian writer lived there for a few years from 1928.
The exhibition retraces Maxim Gorky’s work, life and that of his family. Visitors can visit the living room, the study, and the bedroom. The museum can also be quite proud of the intact writer’s library, made of no less than 12,000 books, his personal archives as well as a collection of decorative art and oriental art.
