ZKP Tagansky Cold War Museum

This museum gives the opportunity to enter one of the most unusual and secret premises in Moscow: the ZKP Tagansky also called Bunker 42. The premise was built 60m underground in the 1950s, in the middle of the Cold War, and it covers 7 000 square meters. It was equipped with everything necessary to withstand a nuclear attack and survive for a few months. Now visitors get to go through the tunnels and the bunkers, they can see the weapons and the transmission equipment. They are also shown a short documentary film that helps understand the Cold War era.
