Bolshoi Theatre
The Bolshoi Theatre, world-renown, is Moscow’s emblematic scene. The theatre hosts plays, as well as operas and ballets.
Although the company was created in 1776, the first performance took place in 1825. Its architect, Ossip Bové also built the Maly theatre (small theatre) located on the same square.
The Bolshoi Theatre reopened on October 28th, 2011 after a renovation that lasted 6 years.
