Drama Theatre of F. Volkov
The State Academic Drama Theatre of Fyodor Volkov in Yaroslavl is the oldest theatre of Russia. It celebrated its 260th anniversary in 2010.
It was Fyodor Grigorevich Volkov, actor and well-known figure of Russian theatre who founded it. It is considered as the first professional theatre to be open to everyone in Russia. The repertoire of the theatre includes more than 20 performances inspired from the works of Gogol, Chekhov, Ostrovsky, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Boccace and many others.
